I have been working at Subway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Half price food and free drinks.

    Cons

Physical labour ,No official breaks and very little break if you do even get one, busy, have worked 50 hours and my manager hasn't even asked for my bank details, no talk of how much my hourly rate is.

    Advice to Management

More staff in the store two people doesn't cut it, little to no break for a 10.25 hour shift.

    I worked at Subway part-time

    Pros

Had a lovely experience after a night out in the bath subway by two gentlemen, ended up speaking for a good 5 minutes after being served my food to them both, great experience at the business

    Cons

I worked here part time alongside college. I enjoyed the job but sometimes found it difficult to get time off with their only being a small team of us (will vary between branches). Benefits will depend on your franchise owner and how generous they are

I have been working at Subway part-time

    Pros

You get to learn customer skills that can be transferable into a graduate position as well as time management skills that show being well organised

    Cons

Low skilled job: you get t work with low skilled people or like minded students if you're lucky. Also customers can be very rude and cutting onions is the worst thing in the world

    Advice to Management

Management within Subway in Brighton should change in a way that employees should feel more valued so that they can be better motivated. There is no bonus pro quota, no increase in pay during bank holidays.

    Pros

Really fun place to work dependent on franchise
Very fast promotion (I joined as a Sandwich Artist - 1 year later I'm a Multi-Unit Manager having worked in all in-store roles for 6 different stores and 3 different franchises).
    Good salary for management
    Free food
Easy to move to other franchises and locations
Really good support from Development Agents and Head Office
Shortage of trained SUBWAY Managers so easy to move to a different franchises

    Cons

Operations are different from store to store
    Can be long hours
Lots of extra work at home (management)
Fast paced work again dependent on store
Requires a lot of re-location to progress within the company

    Advice to Management

Maintain some continuity between stores as it can be difficult changing franchises and having to learn a whole new set of marketing, operational and process changes
