    Negative Outlook

    I worked at Suite101.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, work life balance. May work from home. Not restricted to 9-5 working hours.

    Cons

Constantly changing technology platform. First, they used Cold-Fushion. Next, they glorified Ruby-On-Rails. Then, the new management wanted to "Drupal"lize everything. Anything related to Microsoft was dismissed. No clear business model. Failed to retain the long existing loyal customers (writers) base without any clear incentives.

    Advice to Management

It was not about technology. It was about the business model from the start. Do not clamoured too much on technology platform. Focus on one, and rethinks the business model.
