    Pros

Nice atmosphere. Good food. Air conditioning?

    Cons

Horrible management, NO BREAKS, minimum wage even with fine dining experience. Everyone is constantly complaining about their job. Toxic work environment/culture. The clientele isn't what it used to be.

    Advice to Management

I worked there twice before graduating from university and quit both times. People don't leave jobs, they leave managers.

I worked at Sullivan's Steakhouse full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sullivans (and dfrg in general I believe) has a fantastic teamwork concept for their staff that allows them to give their guests the utmost quality.

    Cons

In my experience the downside to the teamwork concept is that if there are members of the team that aren't hardworking and useful to the team, everyone suffers.

    Advice to Management

Don't let "bad eggs" stick around because they create resentment among the valuable staff and vastly lower the quality of service.

I worked at Sullivan's Steakhouse part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good tips were the best part about working here. Easily could make 150-200 most nights especially around the holidays.

    Cons

    I wasn't a fan of the Hours
Bad attitudes mostly from people working in the back of the house.

    Advice to Management

I actually didn't mind management that much. They are under a lot of pressure and in turn makes you feel like you're under pressure.

Sullivan's offers many opportunities to further your education in order to succeed. The corporate managers are easy to reach with any questions or concerns and make frequent trips to their stores.

    Cons

Some of the managers can be untrustworthy and unprofessional.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff when they tell you about internal issues.

I have been working at Sullivan's Steakhouse part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You make good money through the the week. Managers are easy to work with and schedules can be changed each week if needed.

    Cons

You get your tips every Tuesday and not the night worked. Hard to get a shift covered if you don't have a week's heads up.

    Advice to Management

Make the online system myWorkforce a bit easier to navigate.

I worked at Sullivan's Steakhouse full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As with most restaurants, flexibility was the #1 benefit. Being in college, I really appreciated being able to pick up extra shifts if I needed a little extra cash, or cut back shifts when I was studying for finals. I worked with people at all different stages of their lives. Most were pretty easygoing. Management was decent, they knew how to motivate us! Overall the company was well run, very organized, and I enjoyed my time here.

    Cons

As with any great restaurant, you have to be willing to give up some of the key holidays to work. Namely, New Year's Eve and Valentines day. As long as you are ok with celebrating V day with your significant other on another night, and ringing in the new year with your colleagues, it is not too bad.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing to really note.

I worked at Sullivan's Steakhouse (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Money was decent, food was good

    Cons

Management horrible, turnover rate was like none I've ever seen before. Girls uniforms were ridiculous, high heels skirts and fishnets.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro-managing. That is a sure fire way to lose all of your best employees
