I have been working at Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Positive, team oriented work environment
    - Great introduction to the inner workings of a large, global financial institution

    - Solid benefits, including cash balance pension

    Cons

    - Can be bureaucratic
    - Credit process filled with unnecessary processes / procedures.
    - Lack of accountability among certain staff / departments which can make things difficult to get done.

    Advice to Management

I worked at Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some flexibility, depends in which department you work. Promotion and internal transfers are pre planned . Diversity is an illusion.

    Cons

Pay is low, opportunity for advancement is only for the chosen few. I have witnessed senseless decisions made on the basis of gender and race , not Talent.

    Advice to Management

Have a plan for everyone , not just white women and men.
