I have been working at Summit Polymers

    Pros

Good benefits Some managers are great to work with Good work/life balance most the time Not bad for career building experience

    Cons

No accountability, poor communication between departments and management. Best employees are always asked to clean up messes but reciev no recognition. Minimal training given across the board. No attempts at showing employee appreciation, no interest in retaining talent. Tech center facility is in bad shape.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so cheap on everything, it always ends up costing more in the long run and is just a hassle to employees. Actually try to reward success and retain talent. Give more sick days or remote work options. Give proper training and it will pay off.

    Pros

Lots of good coworkers. Fun atmosphere most times. Decent pay and opportunities for advancement within. Fair management. Good benefits and paid vacations.

    Cons

Can be very stressful at times and extra hours are sometimes required. Travel can last weeks. Office could use some updating.

    Advice to Management

Update the office a bit and add more parking.

    I worked at Summit Polymers

    Pros

Great people to work with, good raises, clean work environment. Great pay with good benefits. Can move up quickly thru bidding on positions.

    Cons

Some supervisors are not that great. Some supervisors will hang you out to dry, will ask you to do one thing and when management gets involved will act like they had nothing to do with it. Not many minorities in office at all.

    Advice to Management

Bring in more minorities to relate to workers on the floor. More women to work in supervisory capacity. It seems if you have a complaint against certain people management will get rid of you.

    Pros

Good benefits good pay overtime if you want it

    Cons

Upper management is not friendly. Many look down on entry level workers.

    Advice to Management

Get to know the floor workers. They are the individuals that keep the organization running. It is OK to speak to them.
