    I worked at Sun-Sentinel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Sun Sentinel was a growing, thriving, expanding paper when I joined the staff but due to the dying industry the quality of the product has plummeted.

    Cons

All of the experienced reporters have been laid off or left for greener pastures and what's left are young, inexperienced staff who will work for peanuts. Paper is moving out of Ft, Lauderdale and won't even have a presence in the city it covers.

    Pros

    No pros to think of

    Cons

This job has no room for advancement. The Newspaper is a dying breed. No one here has received a raise in years. People that recently get jobs here leave within a month or two. Everyday people come in here waiting for it all to end. The halls are empty, there's barely anyone here anymore due to major layoffs. Don't waste your time! Find a job with much more incentive; because there is none given here

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that actually have managerial experience and actually care about their staff
