    Pros

    Great benefits, flex time and great pay. Supervisors encouraged growth, learning and professional development.

    Cons

    Large corporations can sometimes leave you feeling a bit lost in the shuffle, but not too badly!

    Pros

    The product is in Florida. The help desk in Florida office now handles the phone calls.

    Cons

    The product went south. Many coworkers had to leave the company in Bethlehem

    Advice to Management

    Management now has to handle many of the customers.

    SunGard Public Sector was bought by different company when I left. Don't know much about the new company.

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule and allow for remote work too.

    Cons

    Management is bias. Play favorites, and not open for communications on issues. Benefits are decreasing but increasing price passed to employees.

    Advice to Management

    Review positions, qualifications, personalities as well as the ability to LEAD and or MANAGE

    Great company. Friendly atmosphere good communication.

    Cons

    Ability for career development is minimal. No room to move up. The yearly increases are minimal.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on developing your employees.

    Pros

    Co workers try to help each other out and genuinely care about our customers

    Cons

    Upper management is totally clueless as to how dire the situation is. Customers don't receive the software support or management of their project that they deserve because the volume is crushing staff.
    Very low moral and continually getting lower since the Vista Equity Partner buy out in February 2017.
    Little to no pay/merit increase, change of insurance brought reduced coverage and large deductibles.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees, especially those employees who are customer facing. It can't be "all about money" if poor customer services and product support causes customers to take their business (and dollars) elsewhere.
    You don't understand how miserable your staff is working 60 plus hours a week, trying to make a difference to our customers.
    At least ACT like you care about your customer base.

    Pros

    Great work life balance. Great leadership. Nice location in Lake Mary, FL. Working in public safety is very rewarding. Very happy here.

    Cons

    Customer tech refresh cycles are 10 to 15 years, so once SunGard lands a contract they're looking at maintenance for a decade or more before the customer begins thinking about a new vendor. This seems to have a negative impact on innovation which happens very slowly.

    Advice to Management

    Innovate at an agile pace.

    Pros

    Used to be a nice company to work for about 3 years ago, but with all the changes the building is empty and the moral is very low. T.

    Cons

    Recent lay offs, horrible benefits, no training, no discussed path for growth. There is much confusion about the future of some of the product lines.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more time in your employees. Take the time to train, to discuss goal and paths, and to give some motivation. Work on team building and bringing people in the company together.
