    Pros

Opportunity for a career growth if you are smart, have leadership skills, assertive, and political.

    Cons

Frequent reorganization puts job security in question. Some managers keep to themselves and lack communication skills.

    Advice to Management

Keep the line of communication open. Reach out more to employees at the bottom of the totem pole.

    Cons

Understaffed and the workload keeps increasing. You find lots of people doing the job of multiple persons just to keep this place running. People just get burnt-out and leave.

    Advice to Management

Hire enough staff and promote those individuals that actually know what they are doing.

I have been working at SunGard full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Relaxed work life balance. The work itself is not particularly challenging, if you think that's a pro. Easy to move laterally in the company.

    Cons

Upper management does not care lower level employees. They only care about meeting their numbers and do their best to under pay employees. There are so many layers of management that they have incentive to not promote people because there is almost no difference between your current role and your managers. Sungard's philosophy is, why pay for something you can get for free? I've seen very high turnover in the company as a result. The only way to get a promotion is to threaten to quit.

    Advice to Management

Pay market wages. Promote to retain skilled employees when they earn it. Have more internal learning opportunities.
