    Pros

    Supportive immediate (lower) management.
    Ok Pay

    Cons

High Turnover, Outdated Systems and Policies. Mass Outsourcing of internal departments and lack of communication/transparency.

    Advice to Management

Give more control to customer facing employees. Avoid having to assign a tasks to a vendor in Bangladesh that can be resolved in house

I worked at SunTrust full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits, nothing else, that is it.

    Cons

Lower management, sales goals are unrealistic, company could care less how management treats you, reporting of numbers several times a day (on multiple platforms).

Watch out, you're replaceable (although I quit) you're just a number, customer service? What's that? SunTrust is on a path of failer.

    Advice to Management

Visit and branch and actually talk to employees. Working in a branch is HELL and super unrealistic.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The premier banking and investment channel really works to reward the employees. We are highly compensated monetarily and they cater to our needs. Execs get 4 weeks of vacation and sick days as well as holidays.

    Cons

The retail side is still widget focused and too concerned with transactions instead of profitability and customer experience. Otherwise the bank is progressing

    Cons

Executives overreach into policies and procedures. Offshoring cost a lot of jobs. Management is out of touch with consumer and teammate needs

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees who are intouch with your consumers.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good bank in the southeast region. Management is really paying attention to the mortgage division and are behind a lot of what is going on...

    Cons

a lot of the problems in processing have been fixed it seems...eager to see things keep improving...pay more for than 35 bps for branch referrals. You want the loan officers to work the branches but don't pay enough for them to want to.

I worked at SunTrust (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working downtown Orlando at the SunTrust building was an overall positive experience. I was part of a transition team of specialist, communication, phone etiquette, detailed documentation was a priority. Management there was casual but professional, must work as a team and communicate with your co-workers. Once you are given an assignment, notify your supervisor and co-workers a status update. I was contractor there, my contract lasted 11 months, pay was good compare to other support positions here in Orlando.

    Cons

Original database info on customers were old and out dated, therefore you must become a private investigator, Cover your assets :) with documentation, other departments are expecting perfection from you. CYA is a work ethic I carry with me to any job. Lack of weekly or bi-weekly group meetings.

    Advice to Management

Need to have weekly group meetings.

    Pros

Entry into the banking industry with many potential options for you to get your foot in the door. Everything from digital to sports and entertainment

    Cons

Community is not conducive to growth or encouraging of learning. Management meeting and coaching doesn't help and any feedback is not truthfully welcome nor acted on.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to not talk down to teammates but rather encourage to do better and grow
