    Pros

Great Culture, but very pushy on sales even though they don't call it sales.

    Cons

NO work life balance, and low pay

    Advice to Management

    Evaluate employees individually

    I worked at SunTrust full-time

    Pros

Great people that work for company that honestly want to provide a great service to their clients

    Cons

Banking has become such a sales centered industry that the customer service and "doing the right thing for the customer", is no longer a focus. Upper management with company is only considered with hitting sales goals and micro managing every aspect of day to day business

    Advice to Management

    Let managers manage their branches.

    I worked at SunTrust full-time

    Pros

There was a great team at my branch. Everyone was always encouraging, and we helped each other reach our goals. My branch manager was always there to help answer any questions and did continuous training.

    Cons

They had unrealistic sales goals. My branch was located inside of a grocery store, so we had to walk out into the aisles and speak with people while they were shopping.

    Advice to Management

    Get rid of ailse time.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Can't think of any off top of my head, but I guess the one pro is no weekends that you have to work.

    Cons

No clear defined career path, even though they will swear they will help you get to where you want to be, they don't. Constant turn over, policy changes. Constant pressure to unethically push products on clients.

    Advice to Management

Fix your upper management, then fix branch level management

I worked at SunTrust full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company with opportunities to grow if you are a "numbers" guy/gal

    Cons

Sales environment is steep. High emphasis is placed on making numbers and goals, to the point that clients become what you can get out of them instead of opportunities to help each one.

    Advice to Management

Realign the focus to helping clients and lessen the sales focus, or you will be the next Wells Fargo fiasco.

    Pros

Benefits and paid time off (which is very much needed)

    Cons

Goals are not realistic, if you don't obtain you are told you aren't putting in enough effort. A lot of favoritism. Horrible work environment.

    Advice to Management

Review your goals. Good people who truly care are giving up.
