    Suntrust gives you plenty of opportunity to move up and the benefits are competitive. Learn as much as you can in your current role and apply to leadership roles. They make the transition easy.

    Pros

    Good benefits, customer service oriented, PTO.

    Cons

    Sick time and Vacation lumped into one basket and does not carry over year to year. Salary structure. Slow career development. Annual review point system. Lack of raises.

    Advice to Management

    Need to change the way that you handle annual review process. Don't simply classify everyone based on a rating system. If you are going to use a metric, then qualify why you don't give raises for certain performance. Make it way less subjective in terms of evaluation process. Additionally, when opportunities for advancement come available, focus on individual's skill sets and ability, not just who you would like to see in a position. Needs to be more objective. Look at the overall picture of an employee's skill set, experience and background, not just one specific strength.

    Pros

    Great Benefits, good work-life balance and the teammates are wonderful people to work with. There is an emphasis on inclusion, diversity, health & wellness, and personal financial education.

    Cons

    The left hand NEVER seems to know what the right hand is doing. There seems to be very poor planning for the introduction of new (or changes to existing) functionality leading to confusion and a lot of fire-drills.

    Advice to Management

    Take a look at the business processes and where the breakdowns are occurring. Promote cross-team collaboration and whole project team responsibility to reduce the blame-game tactics.

    Pros

    Decent benefits, company with a noble stated purpose.

    Cons

    Managers of banking center 1 locations are worked like dogs. Bare minimum staffing, many days you wind up running a teller drawer, on conference calls, expected to be out visiting businesses, AND you're still responsible for half the platform sales goal. Many days expected to work without a lunch break. When your staffing isn't bare bones, you wind up sending coverage to other branches and creating short staffing at your branch. Morale is extremely low internally and outlook seems to be roundly negative.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up. Staff your branches fully and pay your employees what other banks are willing to pay them or you will continue to lose top talent to competitors.

    It's a job....find a more rewarding....

    Cons

    Oh my goodness....there is not enough space....Unqualified management both knowledge,experience. credit rating and self created DRAMA in their lives....untrustworthy, disloyal and uncaring management team....they make things upThis is the worst work experience I have ever had. People don't know how to talk to each other with respect, sincere and professionally. Walk away if you are considering it....No don't walk RUN

    Advice to Management

    Start over....FIRE ALL your management team....nothing but a bunch of corporate BULLIES

    Great benefits, chance to earn bonuses every month

    Sales goals,management is in flux, constant staff changes

    Advice to Management

    Stability is good for morale of stag and clients, constant moving of managers, bankers, and tellers is hard. Some managers feel that the sales goals are minimum requirements and make you feel like if you fail to meet them, you'll be terminated with a vengeance while others are not bothered by it. Not being while l able to apply for new position for 1 yr seems extreme.
