    Pros

    Flexible Schedule
    Great Benefits
    Awesome Coworkers
Employee Appreciation perks here and there

    Cons

    Favoritism
    Micromanaging
    "Customer is always right" views
    Older systems
Pay is pretty low and commission is unstable with the ever-changing and inconsistent bonus structure
Moving up and switching departments are
not as easy (Must be ridiculour KPI goals and manager approvals)
GOSSIP CENTRAL... feels like high school

    Advice to Management

Work on retaining employees. The company is always promoting to show compassion to clients when they cannot show compassion to the actual employees. The credit card department in Orlando has the highest turnover rate with reps ad managers. Be more consistent with holding EVERYONE in the department accountable instead of reprimanding a couple people for certain instances... ie ATTENDANCE policy. Those who have an outside relationship with the coaches and managers are not held to the same standards and are often overlooked. LISTEN TO CUSTOMERS AND FIX THE AUTOMATED SYSTEM!

    Pros

A great group of people to work with. We each helped one another to achieve the best for the company.

    Advice to Management

You have a great staff take the time to listen to them on process and quality improvements.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at SunTrust part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This was my first bank job, therefore I learned a lot from there. I had goals that I had to meet and the majority of the time I exceeded them. I was on the Gold Performance Excellence Award several times and always received a payout.

    Cons

A lack of diversity, coworker's behavior, lack of leadership.

    Advice to Management

When someone complains about an issue take it very seriously and truly investigate what is going on in the store.

    I worked at SunTrust full-time

    Pros

Great health and 401k benefits. Lots of room for growth great educational opportunities. Of course they have tuition reimbursement and online classes you can take at your leisure.

    Cons

Wage discrimination alert! I was paid $7000 less than a younger male banker, with less experience.

The incentive structure for personal Bankers is confusing and minimal. it's an insult that they ask you to work as many hours as they do, and sell as much as they want you to, but your bonuses are dictated by referrals to other departments. For instance I had a business banking advisor that wouldnt talk to anyone with under $25000..that would be fine if that referral wasnt worth 500 points and the client wasnt viable. Meanwhile everday im opening checking and savings accounts worth 10 pts.

    Advice to Management

If you know that a most personal bankers will spend most of their time opening savings and checking accounts, that is where a majority of the points should lie. Better yet stop pressuiring bankers. to sell products the public doesnt need. I had upper management tell me to push a credit card to a person on disability b/c "she might need the help".
