    Great Agency, Culture, and Benefits

    Pros

The culture at Sunbeam is positive and supportive. Team environment with spirited leadership and staff. The mission is important and impactful for our community. Health, dental, vision, and life insurance all great. Generous time off policies regarding PTO and Sick Leave as well as agency closures around Christmas time and Spring Break. I always feel valued and acknowledged for my work. I also feel very encouraged and able to disconnect from work during my time at home, which is so significant!

    Cons

As with many nonprofit agencies, pay is not very competitive. HR processes are more rigid than others I've encountered. One of the biggest places of lack is no paid maternity or paternity leave is offered despite our strive to be employee and family first. Unpaid FMLA is utilized but staff are required to drain their PTO and Sick Leave banks prior to accessing FMLA.
