I have been working at Suncadia full-time

    Pros

Great golf course, small membership, intimate work environment, great playing privileges, ability to work on wide multitude of projects to gain valuable experience

    Cons

Seasonal, High employee turnover, low pay, Club Manager eats all funding (makes approximately $160K annually, entire golf and food and beverage do not make that much), poor leadership in food and beverage

    Advice to Management

Provide more year around opportunities. Hire more talented help and fewer people. More bodies does not equal better service. Small town and college near by. High turnover results in inconsistent experience for members who expect consistent and high-end service.

    Pros

Great job to have while I was at college. I got to work with everyone I went to school with and got to meet a lot of great people.

    Cons

There isn't too many. Some of the guests can be a bit rude sometimes, but that's really it

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Suncadia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The property is absolutely gorgeous and has so much potential to be an amazing resort.

    Cons

Everyone fears change and that is exactly what is needed for Suncadia to become a preferable workplace.

I have been working at Suncadia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great employee benefits, fun coworkers, quality equipment and professional tools.

    Cons

Not innovate, talked down to from upper management, hands-off upper management, poor inter-department communications, difficult to advance.

I have been working at Suncadia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

*no matter what department, really great perks (discounts on rooms, spa, gym membership, food, golfing, etc)
    *really beautiful location and facilities
*decent pay (depends on department), jobs that include commission or tips pay really well
*lots of opportunities to move up since there is a high turnover of supervisors and management
    *friendly coworkers within departments

    Cons

*awful management, the turnover rate is extremely high and supervisors and managers of most all departments don't take their employees seriously
*since it's a resort, most people only stay during busy seasons leaving it very understaffed during slow seasons
*high end customers with high demands, not always the nicest people
*most supervisors and management are put in position because there is no one else, not because they are right or qualified for the job
*always working weekends and holidays since those are peak business volume
*awful interdepartmental communication, makes fluidity for guests difficult
*higher ups in almost all departments are straight up mean to the little guys, very entitled
*WORKING HOLIDAYS DOESNT RECEIVE DOUBLE OR TIME & A HALF PAY- This really bothers me because it shows that the company doesn't really value its employees, and a lot of the time when you work holidays, you end up work doubles
*the company claims to be green and Eco-friendly but they lie about their certifications and they lie about the fact that they recycle

    Advice to Management

*care about your employees! Even the lowest paid employees are important and this place wouldn't run without the underdogs- give us the time of day and listen to what we have to say. The people who actually work with customers have a pretty good idea of what the customer wants, so listen!
*put people who are right for the roles in higher positions, stop promoting people just because they've worked there a long time or are the only ones available. Take time and consideration when putting people in supervisor and management positions
*fire people who aren't doing their job! I've watched people steal thousands of dollars from right under your nose, and even when I report it, the person isn't fired or even punished. Fire people who don't do well and promote and praise people who try really hard and do well!
*stop bending the rules for higher up management. If something is true for a minimum wage employee, it should be true for higher ups. Letting someone allow their 12 year old in the swim facility without parental supervision just because they're the HR director is unjust and a total violation of policy AND a health hazard for their child. Keep it fair and make your higher ups follow the rules, even if it is inconvenient for them.

I have been working at Suncadia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent coworkers, facility perks. Nothing else, this job is awful and use it as a last resort.

    Cons

Horrible management, bad pay, understaffed, the WORST customers and guests, cleaning bathrooms, the most unorganized place you will ever work. Also you get no commission on any of your sales even when people buy $400 worth of garbage in one transaction.

    Advice to Management

Quit. Find a better job because this place is a nightmare to work for and you don't run it very easy for employees.
