I worked at Sunera part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Sunera is a small company...you have exposure to top management.

    Cons

Sunera is a small company with very little structure, process, or procedure in place. This makes it an especially difficult place to start your career. An employee’s career path and advancement is not defined; you are promoted as deemed “ready” by management. There is a “boy’s club” mentality going on…management hires people like themselves (e.g. military, Florida locals). Onboarding was nonexistent. There is no substantial, formal training beyond the basic crash course. You are not provided with the proper technology equipment to fulfill your job responsibilities. Management speaks condescendingly about the back-office staff, when they are actually kind and personable people.

    I worked at Sunera full-time

    Pros

Really no pros, everyone is lied to during the interview process then fired. Partners are all divorced at least once so yea, good luck trusting a work they say.

    Cons

Promised promotions during hiring which actually neverrrrr happen.

Lowest salary and bill rates (except for partners) no opportunity for growth.

    No job security at all.

    Horrible health insurance.

Audit work is rushed and not performed accurately.

Client work is a joke, they practically audit pizza shops for 90% of business.

Partners and senior management verbally and emotionally abusive.

    Advice to Management

We all know no one will buy this company after Peter left, have a shred of compassion for employees who have families and don't just fire everyone when you manage a project poorly.

I have been working at Sunera full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Young co-workers are great.

Work from home policy is nice because then you don't have to interact with monsters in the office.

    Cons

Lowest salary in the industry, wait till you get your offer...lol... then the pitch. Its all bogus, there is no real bonus and no real promotion structure. Company plans to sell anyway so don't expect to be there for long.

Per diem is lowest in industry so expect hampton inn or red roof inn when you travel to Kansas. Partners will do anything to save a dollar. If it means making you wait in the airport for 8 hours just to share an Uber they will do it. Senior managers typically get their own cars and leave you stuck in the hotel with $20 to spend on delivery takeout. Then accounting (aka Tampa minions) will reject your expenses for no reason.

Zero job security, I have watched so many talented people get fired for no reason at all and with no notice. I watched a grown man with kids get fired and walked out of the office crying. Most partners and senior management come from broken families in Florida so they don't know how to treat other human beings with respect.

Everyone leaves after a year. Get in, get abused, get out. But be warned.

I worked at Sunera (More than a year)

    Pros

There were no " Pros"as the organization lacks policies, procedures, job descriptions and true methods of operating a business with sincerity and professionalism.

    Cons

No training, no leadership, condescending management.

    Advice to Management

CEO needs to listen, or ask for feedback regarding Partners performance.
