Good culture. Pretty good medical/dental/vision coverage. Decent vacation policy. Lots of fun, interesting people to work with. CEO is very personable and occasionally hosts town hall events in area offices. OK compensation.

    Cons

Global company, so lots of early or late calls depending on the time zone you're based out of. Lots of reorgs and low morale. Have to fight for every advancement opportunity.

    Pros

Great pay, good family / work balance. Sometimes working from home. Great people and teamwork.

    Advice to Management

More monitoring of work among team. Utilize numbers and time of repair to evaluate those that really work and make quotas for the department count proactively.

I worked at Sungard Availability Services full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Financially a well paying job. Experience is never ending, people on the team are hard working and an intellegient group throughout the company.

    Cons

Moral is low due to the amount of lay offs and restructuring of the company every year. Sending jobs over seas might build on the dollar showing but takes away the highly experience people working in country.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on building the customer relationships. Keep the people working in America as the primary ones contacting the customers.

    Pros

Great environment from an employee perspective.
    Base Salary is pretty good.

    Cons

In order to close a sale you have to jump through hoops.
Then, you sit and pray that something does not go wrong during the implementations process.

    Advice to Management

Focus on fewer services and become a true industry leader like AWS did. All these partnerships are good but in the end, everyone of those partners are in it for themselves.
