I have been working at Sunoco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I can not think of any.

    Cons

pay is sub par across the board for all positions, management doesnt care about employees goals, getting transfered two towns away from the position you applied for and being told if you refused you would not be able to get a promotion.

    Advice to Management

care about your employees a little, not just profits and what the company needs.

I have been working at Sunoco (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Not many pros to mention

    Cons

Management doesn't focus on issues of importance. Only worry about things that are minor and of no real significance. They screw up pay checks every week and take forever to finally pay employees their money.

    Advice to Management

Spend time actually learning your own business from the ground up and learn your own company policies. Pay people acuturately and on time.

I worked at Sunoco part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, there are several different shifts to choose from especially if you are working at a 24 hour Sunoco Plus. There are some good benefits if you are a student, or end up being full time, or at a supervisory position. Not a bad company if you find the right management.

    Cons

Management needed some work on how they encouraged their good talent to stay. Many good people left due to being under appreciated by management. The manager had no idea how handle employee situations. employees left because they were putting in hard work, but not getting the recognition or pay they deserved. From an associates point of view, the company did not value their employees because of how management treated their employees.

    Advice to Management

Management needs better training on how to effectively deal with employee relations, and how to encourage a collaborative work environment.

I worked at Sunoco full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

As always it's retail. If you love working with the public it's a good place to be. Always enjoy talking with regular customers and meeting new ones.

    Cons

Management very disorganized. Running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Not properly training team members. Very disrespectful of coworker boundries and the way they talk to them. Upper management turns a blind eye to what is teally going on in the stores.

    Advice to Management

Was training to be GM. Store manager had no clue what was going on and that was very sad as she has been working in her capacity for years. Make sure that when training new GM's or assistance that the person doing the training is qualified to do so!

I have been working at Sunoco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Sunoco will help pay for college courses if taken during employment, but must be business related. Amount reimbursed depends on hours worked and position held.

    Cons

Pay is good only if you want to live with your parents forever and if you didn't go to college and have loans to pay.

    Advice to Management

There should be a training programs set in place for managers in training. Sending them to multiple existing store managers who all do things differently is not helpful. It's confusing and many things weren't gone over resulting in mistakes.

I have been working at Sunoco part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very simple and no need of too much work because it's easy going and there's not to much customers. This is a very low paying job, and usually given to a lot of people that still don't have citizenships.

    Cons

Management doesn't care, there's no compensation for workers, they just go day by day doing the same things, and no one actually does their work on the higher level when asked of doing something.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be more caring to their workers, and definitely show consideration rather then just show workers as the lowest ranked people within the country.
