Pros
Managers and co-workers are nice; Information sharing is pretty effective within the company; They do pay attention to personal professional development.
Cons
The biggest dissatisfaction is the low pay, except which, I couldn't come up with any others. Besides, benefit package is pretty fine!
Advice to Management
I like my manager's leadership style. He focus on his employees' personal development, and offers opportunities according to your professional goal. That's pretty nice!

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Sunquest Information Systems full-time
Pros
Flexible work schedule (with home life justification) Paid maternal / paternal leave
Cons
Low pay High stress No PTO rollover Very poor product Development efforts are focused on new unnecessary functionality rather than correcting long-standing issues Upper management does not seem to care about employees or customers Staff are fired seemingly at random Some offshoot products are simply abandoned rather than supported and developed Company funding goes toward aesthetic choices before necessary... networking infrastructure
Show MoreAdvice to Management
Correct the existing problems before introducing new ones If there are no developers assigned to a product, it should be sunset - if a product is not sunset, it needs at least one developer Don't randomly fire significant portions of the staff Invest properly in networking infrastructure before spending money on making the executive suites look better

Pros
Sunquest is a great place to get your feet wet so to speak. There are alot of great people who have worked here a very long time. Almost all the coworkers here are helpful in getting you up to speed and assisting whenever an issue comes along that is outside of your subject matter area.
Cons
Low pay scales, and confused corporate vision and directives. Managment seems to be going through sort of a gimmicky phase where they keep trying strange approaches to common problems that just don't help out much in the end.
Advice to Management
Focus on retaining those employees who have the skills and knowledge needed for the company to suceed. Attrition is high and it's because of the low pay scales and unattainable goals.

Pros
Ping pong table and covered parking.
Cons
I don't know where to start. 1. The team next to me (copath), used to shout at each other. I am not joking, The junior team members were getting chewed everyday. 2. Some of the managers "MicroManaged" alot. 3. No respect for employees. Even the managers thought themselves as god and didn't respect us at all. 4. Low low pay.
Advice to Management
I don't know what to say and where to start.

Pros
Free coffee, Free parking, Mainly good co-workers, though many leaving. CEO Gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cons
Do not value employees. Very high staff turnover 25%+ Replace Senior staff with graduates Sales team is are the "special ones", yes they bring the sales in, but the rest have to makes slaes promises reality! No support from mid-level managers Supervisors do not know the job of their employees and mentoring is a joke Competent managers, not allowed to apply for higher roles! (Told their applications will not... be accepted!!) The 4DX managment tool that must be worshipped, that Richard Atkin loves, perhaps new guy will delete! The WIGS/WAGS, (stretch work that must be part of your job) they dont talk about, from 4DX. They paid for this? They teach it freee to kids in schools, its called "Smart Targeting" 15 hours of telephone meetings/week not unknown, leaves 25 hrs for work, and you want us to fit in 40hrs plus work into that? Executive team extremely focused on the short term results and sacrificing the long term potential of the company by paying lip service to investing properly in the products or people. Low pay once you get any experience and raises are capped at below inflation (that's if you are an overachiever and work 50hrs+/week). The Exec's set unrealistic goals and people who try to explain the gap between the goal, seem to disappear. Executive team in US, India and UK teams an afterthought, a token exec on a 1yr "punishment" posting to UK, then another, and another. UK moral rock bottom, again! Execs "Why? no one told us (again!)", perhaps if got out of offices and asked some questions and stopped shooting messengers you might learn about what is going on in company. The overtly "Good, ethical, tree hugging" persona top level wants to portray "Billion dollar health care company with a heart" tagline Annual webcast "Reward the useless, promote the incomptent, have a naff plastic award", will donate a few to a US/Good cause,to mark your effort, if I work in in India /UK why not a local cause? Ordered to enjoy self at same "clap harder, over your head, cheer an an exec coughed" Release dates fixed, lets slip another 600 hours development in and keep same date! "Why are you struggling to complete?" Produce more lines of code/day!! Then wonder why bug rate goes up!! Legacy programs written in PASCAL!!!!, still in use. UK HR tries, but US policies that are in cases illegal!!

LISTEN!!!! to your staff. NO don't say you listen, LISTEN, UNDERSTAND, then ACT, dont fudge, stik fingers in ears and go LA-LA-LA" when staff telling you things Don't be "surprised" when surveys discover moral rock bottom Leadership mantra - minimize costs, maximize revenue in the short term, and salute the flag!!, I get bonus, RESULT!!! Stop re-organising each and every year, Let your staff work, not spend... hours (30% of working week) on conference calls

I worked at Sunquest Information Systems full-time for more than a year
Pros
Good experience for the inexperienced and good people to work with (for the most part).
Cons
Executive team extremely focused on the short term results and sacrificing the long term potential of the company by not investing properly in the products or people. Low pay once you get any experience and raises are capped at 4% a year (that's if you are an overachiever and work 60hrs/week). If you accept a job here don't plan on staying longer than 2-3yrs. 4DX is a joke but everybody just plays the game since the... Richard (CEO) really likes it.
Show MoreAdvice to Management
Invest in your employees and take better care of those who travel. $35 a day for food when traveling is a complete joke and way below industry standards. Truly invest in the products to keep them market relevent (i.e. time zone support, etc.).
