I have been working at Sunrun full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great job if you are commission oriented or if you just need a paycheck. No one to check on you, they throw you at a Home Depot or Costco where you can either put an effort or sit in the break room if you want. Really good job while you are looking for another job.

    Cons

They claim to be a human-centric company but they do not have the customer's best interest in mind. Managers tell you to push their lease option and not inform the customer about federal incentives if they choose to purchase the system. Little to no training, your job is to get appointments scheduled at all costs without having any deeper knowledge of the product and how to handle objections. You will spend most...

I have been working at Sunrun full-time for more than a year

    Pros

pay is alright, they tried to have me come in entry level even though I have 5 years of experience. Once, here they "EXPECT" you to share your 5 years of knowledge with no extra pay or even pat on the back so they can make more money. One of the shadiest operations in Solar so far. Benefit are ok Commissions should be higher Never really turn off from the "job" unless you shut off the ipad

    Cons

Management feels entitled to your accomplishments and your knowledge and expect you to share it with no extra pay or incentive so they can make more money. Managers are always running around like chicken without heads but not really sure what they actually do. The training from management is minimal and horrid, they expect their seniors to train their people because they are so busy. Everything you do that is innovative...

    Advice to Management

Lead by Example- walk the walk, talk the talk Stop playing favorites as your alienating a potential future superstar Stop expecting people who have paid their dues in the industry to share all they know for free- so you can make more money Stop being grimy and follow the rules of opportunities being protected for the duration you stated when you interviewed us. Learn your job!!!

I have been working at Sunrun full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing so far. The company doesn´t offer the minimum to maintain you motivated.

    Cons

Pay: The direct deposit comes one week later. Commissions are paid after 2 months. They don't give a sales report with your payroll. Pretty much is what they want to pay you. At the end of the month all the sales data is deleted. The floating holidays always float to their side. Even approved holidays will later won´t be approved. You will end up losing your holidays. They promised to pay double on black...

Sooner or later investors will realize that all the the future sales numbers are inflated. Change your predatory sales practices or you will sink.

I have been working at Sunrun full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I been working with sunrun for 6 plus months now i been promote is about four and a half months. I make a lot more money when you add the Commission plus the hourly. They honelsy treat you like family! The managers are fantastic. If you show you got the drive you will be promoted as promised. They do a lot of fun activities for the team. Cook outs, baseball games, trips. All included.

    Cons

I wouldn't really call this a con but you are held to a quota each month. Also it's mentally draining you hear the word no/ not interested so many times.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what your doing! Also just be there for the team!

I worked at Sunrun full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Not there long enough to really know.

    Cons

Would appear that people in accounting are not trained.

    Advice to Management

I have worked in the solar industry since 2008. I guess you could call me "Burned Out" in the industry. The fact is I never should have taken the job to begin with. I worked for one day and then reigned. Well, one day of pay and my W-2 (along with others). was fished when an email was sent to accounting from the CEO asking for W-2s to be emailed. Nobody asked the question Why would the CEO need or want W-2s? I have...

I worked at Sunrun for more than 2 years

    Pros

The commission was fine the hourly fine.

    Cons

The management would use harassment to get rid of employees they seek change over to keep from payout of commission. If you reported anything it went no where I was let go after a year I was always in the top 10% of leads and closed deals nationally. The manager lied about many things and used employees against one another. I was never late or missed time and let go around the holidays. I had over 100 proposals in my...

I worked at Sunrun full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

There are no pros to this company anymore.

    Cons

Micro managed to death. If you love the smell of hot coffee breath breathing down your neck then this is the job for you. Spend all your free time attending meetings and taking selfies of yourself in stores to prove you are there. Prepare to work 6 days a week. Job is stressful especially when you pour your talent into setting appointments for the closers then they don't even bother to show up to them then it's your head...

I have been working at Sunrun full-time

    Pros

Good pay. Fast paced challenging environment keeps you on your toes. Bosses are not hovering over you in the store.

    Cons

Stores are sometimes very slow which makes the days drag on. Not in charge of closing your own deals. Sales consultants seem to not try very hard to close deals same day during appointment. Some stores do better than others.

    Advice to Management

Organization is key. Find a way to give each RSA equal time in top producing stores. Crack down on employees that do not care to be productive or who are working the system.
