I have been working at Sunset Publishing as a contractor

    Pros

Work-from-home status and bright, engaging, and caring co-workers.

    Cons

Like other client-focused media companies, the goal of producing quality can get bogged down with performance and client expectations.

    Advice to Management

Continue to produce well-written and beautifully executed publications and quality freelancers and contractors will continue to return year after year.

    Pros

The people at Sunset are caring and kind. There is a very warm atmosphere. Departments try to help each other. The editorial staff is very creative and talented.

    Cons

There are high expectations, but the resources aren't usually there to make new initiatives easy (or possible at all) to implement. This causes the staff to be overworked and stressed a lot.

    Advice to Management

Focus more resources on extending the brand online.
