bit of waiting until initial training period but worth the wait ! reserve time off so you are able get all you papers in order before training

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Sunwing Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

-Colleagues are easy to get along with
-New building is modern and has a subsidized cafeteria for staff
-Managers for the most part are understanding and try their best to do better for their employees
    -Modern fleet of aircraft
-Lots of experienced staff who bring with them knowledge
    -Travel benefits

    Cons

-Some processes/facilities need to be updated to suit the size and nature of the operation
-Reactive method of operations rather than proactive (ie. continual delays that inconvenience hundreds of people rather than just cancelling 1-2 flights due to severe weather in 1 city)
-Executives don't understand that turnover of employees costs just as much if not more in training costs instead of trying to keep good employees at the company
-Flight benefits/staff travel still not self-serve like other companies (inefficient reservation system)
-Flights are no longer any better than the competition due to continuous nickle/dime mentality.

    Advice to Management

Work on retaining employees rather than accepting continual turnover (pay competitively and keep employees happy). Be proactive when it comes to weather and aircraft issues rather than scrambling at the last minute when the issue could have been prevented.
