    Behind the desk you learn a lot of necessary social skills that are transferable to most jobs in business. Great place to start out if you're still in college.

    Cons

    You'll need thick skin when it comes to dealing with unpleasant customers.

    Allow your franchises more freedom, the one I worked at was doing well but my boss always thought it could've done better.

    I like working at super 8 cause there really flexible with the hours and its not a 9-5 desk job

    The pay is horrible but I love my job

    Pros

    really good assistant manger and coworkers.
    fast raise on payroll depends on how good you worked.
    if it's not busy , you get to do whatever you want like studying or homework or even watch tv shows

    Cons

    since most of the motel is running by personal business owner
    all the pros and cons are gonna be different.
    no benefits,no insurance
    no overtime at all
    no work//life balance except morning shift.
    the owner of the hotel can be very cheap on paying employees.

    Pros

    Great place to start in the hotel industry, not much expected and an excellent learning environment.

    Cons

    -Within three days of being hired as Property Manager I was let go with no reason or justification.
    -The owner gave me a text message saying I was terminated effective immediately and nothing more, then would not answer my calls or texts.
    -Very poor Ownership and extremely unprofessional.
    -Has employees staying on property, working 50-60 hours a week, plus on call.
    -I later found out that within just a few weeks time he had hired and fired 3 other managers.
    DO NOT INTERVIEW OR WORK HERE.

    Advice to Management

    Sell your business to someone who isn't going to let it fall into the ground and takes pride in their properties. Owners like yourself that give Indian ownership a bad name, and hotel brands like Super 8 a bad reputation.
