    Pros

They care about their employees. They understand that life happens and their employees have family outside the motel and work to give you family time.

    Cons

I found a person working at the front desk may need to work a double, especially in bad weather.

    Advice to Management

The only advice I could five would be to give new employees more training at the desk before putting them on their own.

    I worked at Super 8 Motels full-time

    Pros

I loved meeting new people. It is a very social job. Some regular customers become like family. The work is not hard as long as you use commonsence and know what you are doing. It only gets crummy when you start having to do other people's jobs in order to do yours.

    Cons

The pay sucks, don't expect a good raise either. People that worked there for years are only making $9. Noone knows how to completely do there job because the manager does not fully know how to use the software. Every single day I had to fix simple mistakes that would not be a problem if they were trained properly. People only "know" what to do during there shift, even that is halfassed. Mainly everyone just sits around watching tv or on there phone. Noone cleans the lobby or pool area correctly, it is honestly gross. The housekeeping staff is not much better. The manager is the laziest guy I have ever met and he creeps me out. I have seen him tell people to pick up trash that is right under him and he seemed to have some wierd dominance bs with my husband.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to do your job so I don't have to do it for you. Train your employees consistantly so they don't have to have other people do work for them. Take classes for proper behaivior in the workplace- everyone could use that.
