I have been working at Superior Group as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

They were quick about getting my resume out to prospective employers. Provided me with a temporary job with a company I had been applying with. The position later turned permanent.

    Cons

When my employer expressed interest in hiring me permanently he was told he had to buy out of their contract at a rate that reduced over time. So I had to wait extra time to be hired permanently and couldn't receive benefits right away.

    Advice to Management

Once I was hired, they didn't provide me any information on starting day/time, my contact person, etc. I had to track them down to get this information.

I have been working at Superior Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Coworkers, family atmosphere, flex schedule, PTO not bad at all

    Cons

company training and continuing training should be better. Types of position you are stuck working sometimes can be a con but part of the business to work on things you don't like. More incentives and perks could be offered to stay competitive with other companies. non compete in place which may hinder your ability to keep growing somewhere else depending on your goals.

    Advice to Management

Take time to train and develop employees. The stronger your employees are the stronger your company is. Take time to connect with your employees. Management can seem disconnected from employees and that may affect culture and ability to feel like they care about company culture and wellbeing.

I worked at Superior Group (Less than a year)

    Pros

A position was found really fast and started soon, after interview.

    Cons

The contract can be completed and no updates given till end not extension, but that's typical of any temp agency with limited ability to provide hired status with current assignment.

I worked at Superior Group as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The Operations Manager, took all of your concerns seriously and genuinely worked for you. Would always work to do what was in the contractors best interest. Overall, great people to work with.

    Cons

I actually am in Dallas and the office is in far Houston, therefore there was not a lot of contact involved. This may be an issue for some. I would have liked to had more face to face communications available to me.

    Advice to Management

Face to Face communication is key and contractors would like to see the firm initiating this type of thing. It helps us to feel confident in knowing if any issues arrive, our firm will be there for us.

I have been working at Superior Group full-time

    Pros

The people are very friendly, the company provides great benefits, the division of labor is great - you alway know who to go to depending on what situation arises.

    Cons

They do not seem to value employee. Pay is not as competitive as it could be. There is a high volume of turn over.

    Advice to Management

Remember to value your employees and compensate them accordingly. If the compensation was better, I'd say Superior is the best company in the area to work for..
