I worked at Supermedia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Freedom, not much micromanagement. If you are doing well you are left alone to continue your success. Small territories that easy to plan out for your day.

    Cons

Struggling company since the reduction in print media in the advertising. Had a slow transition to online media and have problems creating unique online solutions that worked.for their customers.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time with struggling employees, work with them to get them used to receiving strong commission checks and they will most likely continue working to that standard on their own in the future.

I worked at Supermedia (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are good. It was great 10 yeas a go but times had changed. It is a good way to gain business to business sales experience.

    Cons

The business model had changed over the years. Once it was an easy sale. Yellow pages is a thing of the past.

    Advice to Management

Close the doors. Managing a sinking ship is not possible. Look at some of the sales to see how legit they are.

    Pros

Good commissions, lots of training and support. Unlimited potential as far as income is concerned. Good benefits too.

Industry is shrinking and accounts are canceling left and right. Lots of competition for digital media, so no longer have the market cornered with print.
