    I worked at Supermedia full-time

    Pros

Good commissions, lots of training and support. Unlimited potential as far as income is concerned. Good benefits too.

    Cons

Industry is shrinking and accounts are canceling left and right. Lots of competition for digital media, so no longer have the market cornered with print.

    Advice to Management

Keep on keeping on and stay current with technology.I hear the company is doing very well these days.

I worked at Supermedia as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Inclusive staff, they were all excited to work with me and loop me into the group. Learned a lot.

    Cons

Very cut throat environment among the sales people. Some tried to use me to spy on what others were doing. While others thought I was spying for the boss.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the intern program, especially the tight knit group training for the first week.

    Pros

Great benefits, very challenging, great opportunity to sharpen your sales skills.

    Cons

Too much bureaucracy and too many leaders making decisions resulting in change coming too slowly to keep pace with its competitors.

    Advice to Management

Take the advice your sales teams give you and actually use it. They are hearing what is going on every day with your competitors and what customers want.

    Pros

Great training, great salaries. Room for advancement and career paths. Sales people are given accounts to grow. Moving in to digital media and trialing new products and solutions. Multiple departments available for employment.

    Cons

Large company who is struggling to redefine itself. Senior leaders not always aligned. Trying to shake the legacy that the company is founded on - which is yellow pages advertising. Sales Managers skills are varied. Too much work and not enough talent to get it done.

    Advice to Management

Align mission and slow down to execute things right -- not fast. Communicate more. Coach managers out who are not competent.
