I have been working at Supplemental Health Care full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I would say there are 5 reasons why I love working at Supplemental. #) Amazing co-workers #2) I feel like my job makes a positive impact #3) No two days are the same #4) My boss is always challenging me #5) At least once a day someone is being recognized for a job well done.

Also, our new CEO Lesa Francis is amazing!

    Cons

I think we are a little too compassionate with some of our lower performing employees.

    Advice to Management

Honestly don’t change a thing. Keep up the great support you give to all your employees - it is noticed and greatly appreciated!

I have been working at Supplemental Health Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Usually keeps you working, tries to work around your schedule.

    Cons

They go after positions they want to put you in, not necessarily where you want to work. No real complaints.

I have been working at Supplemental Health Care full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great Company to build a career, while still having time to be a Mom. I love that I can grow as far as I want to within the Company. No cap on bonus's or earnings potential. Able to work with and learn from some amazing people who challenge me and make me laugh at the same time. Anytime I have had challenges, Management has offered solutions. We are working in the people business and one thing is for sure, it is never boring!

    Cons

It never stops. But that is Health Care, and especially Nursing. Hospitals are open 24/7

    Advice to Management

Provide open door policy and ask for more feedback to support new team members. It is very busy and can be overwhelming to those not able to multitask and problem solve on their own.

I have been working at Supplemental Health Care full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

*The staffing manager got to know me and my work experience. Then she found employers looking to hire. Before submitting my profile she would check if that was some place I would like to work. I have worked two separate contracts thus far.
    *Competitive pay
    *Convenient time sheet submissions
*Staffing manager replies quickly to my emails or phone calls

    Cons

*It has been easier to buy individual health insurance.
*Agency nurses are not always treated well by facilities. One SNF I worked at was understaffed. The SNF was too busy to provide an "agency nurse" more than a brief orientation to the electronic record system or the facility supply storage area. I was basically on my own after 30 mins of walking in the front door.

    Advice to Management

    none
