      Pros

I loved half the people I worked with and maintained friendships after employment The hours were good and overtime was available when needed

      Cons

Parking sucks if you can't get a spot in the front lot Some of the people at this place are TOXIC - I've never left a job due to the people I worked with. It was all drama. There were clear chauvinistic male personalities that tried to motivate primarily female sub-office groups with football quotes, sometimes it felt like you needed to be part of a boys club to fit in with the previous division manager. The pay was awful and NOT distributed fairly. Someone working there for a year longer than another could be making 2 dollars less than the new employee with experience driving the pay differential Upper management was not great Don't take your earned days off or else you will be nagged and made to feel like you're doing something illegal They lay people off left and right- there was zero stability

        Pros

Super flexible hours, my direct manager was fantastic. Opportunity to learn new technologies, opportunity to own your own projects. Awesome coworkers.

        Cons

All of the engineers aren’t paid enough for the amount of work they put in. The company culture is a bit outdated. Most of the upper management didn’t care enough about the large amounts of technical debt.

We appreciate your honest feedback and will make sure to get this information to the appropriate people within SHC. It is feedback like yours that provides us with the information we need to continue to improve.

*Company offers a good bonus structure.

          Cons

*HR violations abound. Discrimination, inappropriate language and topics discussed loudly in the office. *Management doesn't treat employees very well *Upper management turns a blind eye to discrimination and inappropriate behavior if the perpetrator brings in revenue. *Base salary if low for the industry. *I was repeatedly asked to forge documents

Unscrupulous upper management. Total lack of patient care. It's all about lying to employees to make $$$.

                  Pros

Decent base salary, good office environment, everyone seems nice. Benefits are ok but nothing extraordinary. Training is all online modules but extensive and thorough.

                  Cons

Very numbers-based company, hit your goal or you're out before the typical probationary period. It takes time to build and maintain a solid pipeline but upper management wants revenue and starts or else you are cut. Very bad micromanagement when business is bad with no help offered.

                    Business Outlook

                    Pros

Internal office staff was always a great group of folks. They valued family/personal time, which was refreshing. Corporate HR, including payroll was always exceptionally helpful and should be valued.

                    Cons

Things were constantly changing. People came and went, and it was not always due to a poor hire. Some upper management was down right patronizing and highly unprofessional. It seemed that these were the 'leaders' that continued to get promoted. Just because you can drive revenue doesn't give you a free pass to disparage others- especially publicly.

                      Pros

It sounds like it'd be a good company from the outside

                      Cons

Upper management can be incredibly immature. It's almost like a sorority, if the right people like you you're in! Otherwise, you're treated like a child and the pay isn't worth it.

                        Pros

                        Putting good people to work.

                        Cons

They have 'CORE Values' they claim are important - totally out the window when it comes to morals and ethics. Everyone in upper management would rather make a dollar than take care of great employees. You could potentially be lied to straight to your face if they want you to keep making them money.

im not sure but I feel embarrassed for randomly messaging a connection in LinkedIn and asked if he can refer me to the job that Im interested in at his company. this is my fist time doing this in my entire career of 17 yrs. based on some post on LI it is not unusual to ask for referral but will help you also get interviewed, i have an initial interview with the HR last Monday and I send a follow up email to her but no reply so I thought of messaging a connection in LI. thoughts?

Do recruiters actually look at linked in profiles after a candidate has applied for a job? My resume is the most updated document, not so much my linked in profile. Is it a must to update my profile (with info about what was done in each role) or does a well executed resume suffice?
