    Pros

Not any I can think of

    Cons

Management is never there to handle the day to day challenges. They play “who is taking off today” game. They rotate with each other so there is no accountability.

    Advice to Management

Hire capable people who want to work instead of nepotism.

I have been working at Surgical Care Affiliates full-time

      Pros

Physicians and nurses care greatly for the patients and overall satisfaction.

      Cons

Implemented a new billing system Feb 2018, administration doesn't seem to care that it doesn't work properly. Billing staff are having to re-work accounts regularly and multiple times, and claims are being sent incorrectly to payers. Patients receive statements late and they're incorrect. It's embarrassing, this department wants to do a better job but doesn't receive the support it needs.

      Advice to Management

Listen to the people doing the actual work, try to understand what's not working and share updates on progress to resolve issues.

      Pros

Flexibility and the ability to work from home home occasionally

      Cons

Everything else is a con in the Birmingham corporate office! This place is ran by unprofessional and inept management! The entire office environment is like a highschool cafeteria... gossip and childish behavior. The managers don't discourage this behavior and often partake in it. Training is laughable and so are annual raises. The best way to get promoted is to kiss up to the ego-loving managers and flirt with them....

      Pros

Flexibility to work from home when needed.

      Cons

Unless you love alcohol and LOVE to talk about it and go out to the bar after hours with the co-workers and boss, forget about your chances of ever getting appreciated for all of your hard work, productivity, UNPAID extra hours you work, and all of the sacrifices you do with all the late nights and early mornings to the office! You will NEVER be appreciated or promoted by your manager unless you do this and brown nose...

      Advice to Management

      Pros

Leadership is trying to make this company, THE company to work for. Every teammate matters, and every teammate is appreciated.

      Cons

The pay is lower than most competitors but benefits that include telecommuting and generous PTO help counteract that. The worst part of working here is the revolving door which creates a lot of extra work for those who stay.

      Advice to Management

Increase annual salaries, encourage more team building and travel, less in office pressure. You’ve hired people for a reason, so trust them. Continue to appreciate the good ones and weed out the not so good.
