What’s the best way to have a lack of compensation and incentive conversation in your department? I went above and beyond for years doing extra work, organizations etc and nothing has been reflected in pay. I thought my 5 year was going to finally show something but it did not. I’ve inquired about pay but it’s gotten nowhere.

    Pros

I really enjoyed my time there before the pandemic-this is how I choose to remember SIG. Folks are nice. When you leave SIG for a 45hr fully remote position elsewhere, you are going to feel so good about it. 10-20% of your M-F waking hours are yours again, you don't get exposed to the rona, you'll make more money. It has put a bounce in my step since I resigned 😁

    Cons

Long hours, crappy commute. Lots of loafers about. The work is not very challenging and even after 3yr I was feeling skill atrophy. Maybe don't gaslight folks by saying they are incapable of working fully remote, when they've done just that for 26 months. It became obvious that butts in chairs, controlling the employees, and not giving a crap about employee health was the culture I found myself in. Not worth whatever you are holding onto. Make the change: 9-to-5, with no drive!
