I have been working at Sutherland full-time

    Pros

    None none none none none

    Cons

Slave drivers, horrible management. $12 an hour to defend a bogus non working product. Customers curse you out constantly and management still want you to take a certain number of calls per hour and keep your truck roll rate down which means sending out technicians, after contractor installers install the product carelessly

    Advice to Management

Need to review everything. Money hungry I understand, but try developing your product and training your staff

Low salary, IT support is located in India and difficult to communicate with when you have tech issues, terrible policy communication to customer facing employees, feels like a sweat shop.

I have been working at Sutherland full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours and weekends off are the only thing likeable about this company.

    Cons

The pay is horrible, they dont take care of their employees, the three month training is a joke and so is the support. The people are very unprofessional due to being understaffed and underpaid and the systems rarely every work right on top of all the applications they want you to use.

    Advice to Management

Restructure the entire company staff and treat your people doing this no paying ish job better

I worked at Sutherland full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can get away with anything. You can miss work for a week and still have a job

    Cons

Disorganized, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Empty promises and very low pay for the amount of work that you do. No advancement a position was offered as a floor walker and they had a few inside ppl to apply and interview and they hired outside ppl only to fire them with a few months. If this is your absolute last resort then ok but if you have options please go the other way... RUNNNNN

    Advice to Management

Take into consideration of your employee before to you don't have a company to run

    Pros

Great training. This Company put a lot of effort into training and making sure you were prepared for the job before putting you on calls.

    Cons

It all depends on the program, but I highly suggest you not leave one company to come to this one. They will let you go for no reason, tell you it is due to numbers even if you are a top performer in the company. Not a trustworthy company and extremely misleading

    Advice to Management

Stop wasting your funds. Get better organized. Employees who care about the customers will make you more money. Management is coaching and development. Value your Employees.

I worked at Sutherland full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Got paid every 2 weeks

    Cons

There is no definitive strategy. The sales people make the strategy and then expect operations to figure out how to make it work. The sales group are basically order takers they only try to compete on price. The company is majority owned by a hedge fund. No one wants to admit when something is NOT going right. They expect salary employees to work any and all hours, it was not uncommon to get a call on a Saturday night and it you did not answer until Monday you got dressed down. Lots of worthless meetings.

    Advice to Management

Please stop telling the emperor that his clothes are made of gold. If every one would just speak the truth instead of being bullied by the c-suite you may accomplish respectable growth and margins.
