I have been working at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The employee support and the constant improvement in patient care.

    Cons

There a lot of positions that are topped out, so therefore you have to move around to grow.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Coworkers and benefits, new building, clean,

    Cons

Pay , no regular bonuses , they will promise everything during the interview and totally forget about it once hired. They do not care about genuine people. Do not report any issues you are having but if you report your coworkers you're golden. I've seen too many good drs leave or forced to leave due to discrimination or they are fed up. No breaks

    Advice to Management

No comment majority are brain washed

I worked at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits package; friendly, welcoming atmosphere; you will be treated with the utmost respect from the janitor all the way to the CEO; transparency of management; Lean environment and the desire to continuously improve environment for the people who do the work.

    Cons

Pays employees far, FAR below the market value for the work that they do; difficult to impossible for those to receive a tangible raise once the wage has been set; promotions are rare; Lean environment can be a hassle/cause headaches with constant changes to environment and processes... sometimes for the worse.

    Advice to Management

If you want to retain talent within your organization, start paying your employees more market competitive wages. Otherwise, Kaiser Permanente, among many other organizations, will be happy to shell out the money to add more skilled workers to their ranks.

I worked at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Had some great supervisors with big skill sets, but their direct reports were awful which led to low morale overall.

    Cons

Director and Manager do not value staff or take concerns seriously. Impossible to promote or transfer. Although you are in a position to care for people, you are not cared about by upper management. No Union and HR will always back-up managers so you're always alone.

    Advice to Management

    Clean house with upper management.

    Pros

I get most if not all my days off I request beforehand when I make my schedule,

    Cons

we pay for our medical.dental.vision premiums, raises are discretion of (management pets). We are not union. We are out of ratio all the time. No break relief RN. We get interrupted during rest and meal breaks. You will be talked to about claiming penalty pay and ADO'S. No vacation pay you have to use your P.T.O.. Also you will be called off and you have to use P.T.O. to reimburse yourself for being called off. It takes act of congress to use your E.S.T. (ext. sic time) You get floated a lot. I make $47.00 hr.

I have been working at Sutter Gould Medical Foundation full-time

    Pros

Amazing people and patients. SGMF is seriously committed to their patients, staff & providers.

    Cons

Although a great culture, salaries are at mid-point at best.

    Advice to Management

Be less willing to tolerate poor performance. It is difficult for the hard-working and dedicated employees watch those who don't care about their co-workers or patients get away with things. Good employees want to be surrounded by the same kind of employees.
