Pros
People who work in the finance department at Sutter health are ethical and fully capable at their jobs. It is a positive environment and management is always looking for ways to improve efficiencies.
Cons
Sutter health has been undergoing a lot of structural change over the years in order to cut costs. Cost cutting has included in consolidating job functions.

Cons

Pros
Often one of the few health care options in your area. Pay is reasonable.
Cons
Recognition if you don't work in Sacramento is limited. Job advancement is primarily in Sacramento. Talented people are overlooked and underutilized if they are not part of the Sacramento Enterprise team.

Pros
- One of the best internship programs in the industry - Excellent onboarding process and opportunity to communicate with the internship coordinators during/after the internship - C-level supervisor provides coaching throughout the internship - Great diversity in the organization including the very top management - Exciting projects offer learning opportunities - Shuttles in San Francisco is very convenient for CPMC interns
Cons
- Almost no social events at the CPMC location; limited opportunity to get to know people that you are working with - Not a con; however, the position requires the person to be proactive in identifying projects.

Pros
The people I worked with were very helpful and were always willing to help you out. I also enjoyed it because it was close to home. Saved tons of money on gas.
Cons
Unfortunately, in order to be promoted it's who you know not what you know. And the first group of people I worked with had tendencies in complaining more than doing there share of work.
- 4.0Jun 28, 2022Medical AssistantCurrent Employee, more than 3 yearsRoseville, CA
Pros
Good job, decent salary, good schedule
Cons
They promote based on who they like the most not who's the most qualified. As a result they have upper and middle managers who are personable but completely incompetent and then wonder why so many people leave.

Pros
SPS has excellent benefits. They continually have classes for their managers which has helped my manager become a better manger.
Cons
When trying to look for a job on the Sutter web site it really is not user friendly. I've referred people to Sutter jobs and because the site was not user friendly they found jobs elsewhere.
