    Cons

would like to be able to move up the food chain faster...takes time.

    Advice to Management

more training to managers and employees...leadership training

    Pros

    The lunchroom is nice
Some employees are nice/fun to work with

    Cons

    The CEO (KB) is fake
HR department does care at all about employees, she has a BAD attitude
They spend money on things not necessary, and take away from pay and bonuses
They work you like a dog! And treat you like one too
All departments are divided certain departments are favored
I could go on for days with the cons

    Advice to Management

    Hire all new executive team!
Get someone who actually cares about the employees in the HR department.
KB is the worst CEO and spends way too much money on himself and thinks hes better than everyone else

I have been working at Sweda Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good Company. Good people. Good wage. Good morning shift hours

    Cons

They have a lot to learn. They need to realize that just because they supply the equipment, doesn't mean the workers can work any harder. Severely understaffed for all shifts.

    Advice to Management

Reevaluate what you are doing as a company. Stop being greedy and listen to your staff. We need more employees, we need more supplies, more help, etc.

I have been working at Sweda Company (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've only been at the company less than 6 months, but I can tell they are preparing for great things. I've seen the passion that people have for this industry and with a newly hired CEO (KB Marshall) leading the team, it's very obvious that great things are coming.

    Cons

Company is growing rapidly so we are experiencing some growing pains.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and make sure to communicate to all levels of employees to make sure everyone stays connected to the goals we're trying to achieve.

I have been working at Sweda Company full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are nice but that's it!

    Cons

Low pay and you will NEVER get a raise unless you threaten to quit and they need you
They do not match your 401K
The company Christmas party is a 30 minute lunch inside the dusty warehouse
Promotions are based on if you are liked rather than your job performance
Lack of communication within departments and no clear direction
There are a lot of bitter employees that are unhappy and have given up on excelling because they haven't been rewarded
Upper management pits employees against each other and gossips about each other

    Advice to Management

Look up how Google treats their employees. A happy employee makes for a prospering company, The more you appreciate the people that work for you and acknowledge them, the better your business will boom. Match 401Ks, a nice Christmas party outside of a dirty warehouse, and give raises (it's cheaper than the monthly time and energy you spend rehiring and training!!!).

I have been working at Sweda Company full-time

    Pros

Employees are nice people and good to work with. Most genuinely want to do a good job.

    Cons

Employees are not empowered to do their jobs. Promotions are arbitrary and not based on performance, mainly on nepotism and when people management feels are "key people", threaten to leave. Many are unhappy but too afraid to voice opinions because management has created this atmosphere. Employees are pitted against each other by management.

    Advice to Management

Stop belittling the employees by referring to them by less-than-favorable terms ("kids"), and using the intercom system instead of shouting names when you need to speak to specific individuals. Clean up the books so that everything can be tracked easily and you can see straight-off who is actually working hard and who isn't - begin a job-tracking system so employees can track how much time they are spending on one job.

I have been working at Sweda Company full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Young management that can change with the climate of the industry. Move to the brands was a great idea. Work hard, be creative, be positive and you will be promoted to higher positions. Dress for the job you would like to have. You will be noticed.

    Cons

Employee apathy that has lingered through the years with employees with years at Sweda. Need new energy in the building that can drown out the negativity from the few loud individuals that make it miserable for everyone else.

    Advice to Management

    Acknowledge successes and reward it.

    Cons

-Pay scale is on the lower end
-The company works you like a slave
-OT on a daily basis without any compensation if you are exempt
-Management does not care about certain departments and the supervisor at the New Product Development is very incompetent and did not know how to managed people, the entire team quit one by one

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate your department supervisors will help you to lower your turnover rate

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Given autonomous decision-making authority, flexible in implementing new sales offerings. Fussy customer base but low barriers to entry to gain new distributors.

    Cons

Difficult to make top salary in this industry. Promotional Products Industry is sales driven and ultra competitive. Margins are thin, thus everyone's compensation is adversely affected.

    Advice to Management

Profit-sharing possibility in the future? Labor-intensive industry drives down earnings and profit. Online marketplace will continue to change industry dramatically
