    they offer flexibility and decent vacation time

    Chicago Office Only No respect, no communication, not good management. certain employees are bullied. No room to move within the company

    Get better management and listen to their employees. Learn to separate the lies from the truth

    Pros

    Lots of cohesiveness on teams, lots of support in learning the role. Clearly defined roles and work responsibility. People all trying to get the same thing done, so lots of support for overall success.

    Cons

    You really are just a cog in a wheel of a giant machine, and you don't actually matter that much in the overall big picture.

    Advice to Management

    Giving people ownership of process from start to finish would be ideal and make it feel like the work each individual does actually holds weight and brings value to the overall success of the wholesaler brokerage.

    Pros

    Genuinely nice people with a passion towards trying to make the company successful. Long tenured employees with an array of industry knowledge.

    Cons

    Lack of organization and innovation in managing the human resources. Less reluctant to hear new and innovative ideas.

    Advice to Management

    Hire innovative people who you will listen to in order to move the company in the right direction with relation to human resources.

    Very laid back atmosphere, family friendly and inviting company.

    Cons

    Company was bought by a competitor so sweeping changes are incoming. One of the reasons I left.

    Pros

    Employees are friendly and everyone works hard.

    Cons

    Company seems to be stale and falling behind competitors, it takes management 5 times longer than it should to do anything, company is not interested in growing current employees they would rather hire from outside. Pay seems low compared to competitors

    Advice to Management

    Focus on what you have, not on what you can go out and buy.

    Pros

    Great co-workers who take care of business.

    Cons

    Management doesn't value any employees besides producers who are paid extremely well. Non-producers went close to 10 years without raises. Long term employees were downsized with tricky severance packets. They give up to 6 months severance but it's paid at 70% -- which really means it's only 4 months severance.

    Pros

    Collaborative work environment across all practice groups. Room to grow if self motivated and willing to learn. Fast paced environment.

    Cons

    Low pay for the amount of responsibility and work load required. Difficult to coordinate vacation time, especially around the holiday season

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees fairly for their contributions

    low pay no raises very small bonuses downsizing so an increased workload
