I worked at Swift Energy as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people who are all willing to help. They put a lot of faith in you and there is meaningful work to do.

    Cons

Can be repetitive sometimes but it's not too bad.

    Pros

Great opportunity provided to learn a variety of professional roles in an oil company. Everybody was very friendly and supportive, even the upper management. Hourly pay was great for an internship position.

    Cons

Apparently there is a policy that a former employee cannot obtain a reference from a manager who is still employed at Swift.

    Advice to Management

Continue treating employees well and change the policy regarding former employee references. There is no point to an internship if you cannot get a reference to prove that you performed well at a company.

    Pros

Small company that really cares about it's product and people.

    Cons

Small company = not a whole lot of job growth.

    Advice to Management

Providing feeback to the workforce would be appreciated.
