    Pros

    Good people focused culture
    Nice flexible work schedule
Accommodating to employees needs and life/work balance

    Cons

Recovering from chapter 11 and continue to have reductions in force
Cannot recommend starting there because the future is so uncertain

    Advice to Management

Not sure what advice to give, it seems to be a sinking ship.
Last one there turn out the lights

    Pros

The employees at Swift Energy, for the most part are fantastic to work with, making it a blast coming to work everyday

    Cons

Swift Energy just emerged from chapter 11 bankruptcy, and it is hard to tell what sort of long term effects it will have on the organization

I have been working at Swift Energy full-time

    Pros

Conservative. Hires good people. Treats employees well. Its a great place to work.

    Cons

No directive. Management is unreasonable with the value of the company's assets therefore passing on some exceptional divestment opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees, remember you hired them for a reason. Stop over analyzing every transaction and missing out on solid investments or divestments.

    Pros

Great people that will help you get invaluable experience.

    Cons

The distinction between "Summer Student" and "Intern" can be frustrating as interns get special privileges that summer students are barred from.

    Pros

Great opportunity provided to learn a variety of professional roles in an oil company. Everybody was very friendly and supportive, even the upper management. Hourly pay was great for an internship position.

    Cons

Apparently there is a policy that a former employee cannot obtain a reference from a manager who is still employed at Swift.

    Advice to Management

Continue treating employees well and change the policy regarding former employee references. There is no point to an internship if you cannot get a reference to prove that you performed well at a company.

    Pros

Great coworkers, good bonus structure, work life balance

    Cons

Owner is an incompetent boob who has runs his family biz into the ground

    Advice to Management

QUIT--get some young blood into the C-Level positions
