I have been working at Swift Transportation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Go home when you wont too.

    Cons

Not enough miles to make a profit.

    Advice to Management

End the program!!! Drivers are not making a profit hauling your freight while paying for your truck. Its more empty trucks then drivers who are willing to risk not earning pay to drive that lease truck. Wkly payments total about 1k. Plus fuel thats about 2200 per wk. You have to run over 3k miles to earn 800 an up. Ask anybody who works for swift!! They be lucky to get 1900 miles a week. This why turn overs are high.

    Pros

Decent benefits and better work hours since all the law suits forced a change.

    Cons

Poor communication to all employees, no raise in six years, no regard to family time. No room for growth and does not honor the mission or values.

New management needed all around, from team leads to terminal managers.

I have been working at Swift Transportation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefit package. Great Home time Plan. Great pet policy

    Cons

Sitting still too long between loads causing a cut in pay. How do you advance into management? Not driver friendly. All about management people.

    Advice to Management

Allow drivers an open door policy and a chance to meet higher ups. Allow drivers a chance to earn more pay by off loading trailers for the same amount of pay that a Lumper receives

I have been working at Swift Transportation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Front Camera could be helpful in the event of a collision at no fault of the driver.

    Cons

The Driver Cam films the Driver in the cab while driving when prompted/signaled. This Enables staff to make fun of the Driver when watching film and a hazard occurs, forcing the driver to brake hard or swerve to avoid a collision.

    Advice to Management

A poorly maintained truck, having faulty brakes, tires and traction control systems causes the driver camera to go off. Stop blaming the Driver for your own negligence.

The Driver cam has turned into a tool used to make fun of drivers when we experience road hazards in your faulty and poorly maintained trucks, then, the film is used to fire good drivers.

Picture a flight attendant scolding and reprimanding a Commercial Airline Pilot in the baggage claim area after a turbulent flight at no fault of the Pilot.
