I have been working at Swim N Sport part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very fair management, easiest retail job ever, I like me fellow employees, finally have a boss with a good attitude, and overall pretty chill.

    Cons

Have to work all weekends, kinda sucks that my manager can have sundays off and I can't, working many nights kind of sucks because I have a lot of workload from college classes.

    Advice to Management

Manager should work the same amount of time as employees do, would like some more rapport with my district manager.

I worked at Swim N Sport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No long hours like other retail. You work 5 days but you must keep your area staffed. Not so hard . Hiring managers are easy as i have very little turnover everybody had been there longer than me except for two troubled stores. Best store managers ever! Office called you everyday and you actually talked to people that knew your name and cared how you and your family are doing. Boss lady might be tough but truly inspirational making all of us women wanting to be her one day!Easy to sell the product and the best customers ever. Life is short so working for other retailers working 50 60 hours weekly for a higher pay is just not worth it.

    Cons

Need faster replenishment! Would have like to see incorporating other items than swimwear. I would have like to see office meetings.

    Advice to Management

Good luck guys and thank you stay caring. Please consider revamping your outlook on new products.

    I worked at Swim N Sport part-time

    Pros

I had an amazing mangaer. That’s it. Literally.

    Cons

NO PROFESSIONALISM. This company won’t last theyre a joke honestly. The heads of the company come to your store in jeans and sandals and pick a fight with you to fire you on the spot and throw in that oh they’re there today to close your store. Mall management didn’t even know they were coming. NO WARNING. Uprooted our lives with no notice and definitely a complete lack of even the most basic slightest concern for their employees. Their tech person cannot fix anything. If anything needs to be done in the store they lie and lie and lie for months and circle around it and never fix it. They want you to make them thousands of dollars and provide you with no support and no training to do so. They don’t care about anyone including their customers. No one should support a company like this.

    Advice to Management

Leave the retail industry and in fact any industry where you have to give a crap about the next person because you all know the kind of people you are and you belong in a job all about yourselves.

    Pros

    The work was really easy.
I had an amazing team within my last year.

    Cons

It was real hard getting a promotion with this company.
They want you to sell rinses in order to get a promotion or raise.
There was no leadership within the headquarters.
    No employee appreciation.
    Swimsuits were outdated.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees those that are still there.

    I worked at Swim N Sport part-time

    Pros

Helping women feel beautiful in designer swimwear, the store discount for employees is average in comparison to the price of the swimwear, training isn't that difficult.

    Cons

The return policy is inconsistent, the customers are often very rude, you work long hours, or very short and annoying hours, often alone. There is no commission sales- which sucks, because the swimwear is very expensive.

    Advice to Management

Stick to store policies, and don't be fire-happy.

I worked at Swim N Sport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get paid. Good for people who like to be mistreated and underpaid

    Cons

Company is ran by idiots. They are running the company into the ground. They close a store every 2 months. Human Resources/ Payeoll is a joke. Vice President should be fired. Under paid and overworked. It's seriously the worst ever. No raises no matter how long you worked for the company. Cheap. YOU WILL NOT SEE YOUR FAMILY IS WHAT VICE PRESIDENT TOLD ME SHORTLY AFTER WORKING. They send your last check in mail even if you complete two week notice to inconvenience you. They will close your store without any notice.

    Advice to Management

Close all of the stores. Go out of business you won't survive anyways.
