I have been working at Swissport part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy job overall. I started out as a checkin passenger service agent. The tasks are rather easy, fast paced and you meet great people. There are opportunities to grow and attain higher positions with time.

    Cons

The company is quite lackluster. They hire you part time and throw you 40 hours of work a week. They try and stiff you out of your pay
Say you worked 43 hours in a week, your pay stub will say you only worked 41 hours. Very slick indeed. You have to stay on top of your salary quite often to make sure you get paid accordingly. This company offers no sick days despite it being the law in New York. If you call out sick they'll either not pay you or they'll take it out of your vacation days. I've worked here for 2 years and only managed to earn about a week of paid vacation days. That tells you what kind of a poor company this is. No benefits at all. I'm leaving as soon as I get the chance.

I have been working at Swissport full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent living wage 15.52 and 1 dollar more for cdl. 1 dollar more for lead pay. Other tab decent pay there aren't any good incentives.

    Cons

Broken down trucks. Point system that you get written up for calling in sick. You can't use your sick hours you can only cash them in if you haven't use them at the end of the year. Company has no respect for employees. Company fires employees for just about anything. They're turn over rate is ridiculous.

    Advice to Management

No consideration for employees what so ever. Company needs to be more understanding of employee needs. Get rid of the point system you've already lost excellent fuelers due to it. Please either purchase a few more trucks or get the parts on time to fix them.

I have been working at Swissport part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good company, good management with diverse employees. Good job for going to school and working. Easy job. Very little knowledge or experience needed

    Cons

Not many benefits from the company. Also, pressured to always do good, if you mess up they may try to fire you.

    Advice to Management

Have different forms of punishment instead of firing right away and better training program

I worked at Swissport full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

a job that you can go to.

    Cons

Very low pay, should be 20-25 dollars per hour, not 11.50. You do not get a one year review just a 10 cent raise. The benefits are bad. The managers scream, set you up, steal your stuff, and still get the better pay and easier hours. Nothing gets better, only 1-3 managers are safe from the bs. All they have to do is just blame everything on the fuelers and they are always safe. DO NOT, DO NOT work for this company! The same job pays way more with the competition and in other countries.

    Advice to Management

Pay a living wage, give benefits, get unionized so the fuelers cant get cheated over and fired at random. Word of mouth travels very fast, you better fix this asap!
