I worked at Syapps as a contractor (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I was a contractor for SyApps and they were VERY professional from sign-on to the time my contract completed. Most companies are ad hoc in their business practices but I found this company always on time with payments and very professional when it came to any interactions with them. I would work for them in a heartbeat.

    Cons

None. Seriously, none. Every company has issues but I really had nothing negative to say about these guys. Working for them was one of the easiest contracts that I've ever had. The client was a different story.

    Advice to Management

    None.

I have been working at Syapps as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

The compensation is very competitive; hands off approach to management

    Cons

#1, the health care plan for employees. United Health Care is crap. Deductible is too darn high.

    Advice to Management

Bottom line up front, the employee compensation at Syapps is darn good. Get rid of United Health Care. The plan is worthless. Dump United Health Care quickly.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Syapps full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The office environment is welcoming, and helpful.
I feel lucky to have been made a part of this team.
The support given to me as I navigate my way into a new setting has been beyond expectations.

    Cons

The Medical Benefits cost more than I can afford between the cost share, deductible, and plan costs it is well beyond my income reach.
Other than that I do not have anything negative to say.

    Advice to Management

Consider another health plan because the costs at present put affordable health care outside the lower wage earners reach.

I have been working at Syapps full-time

    Pros

Excellent staff, all the way up to the owners. Very knowledgable, intelligent employees dedicated to their job. A pleasure to work with. Understanding with busy personal schedules. Diversity in your responsibilities could be seen as a pro or a con, depending on whether or not you want to focus on one job initiative or keep things broad.

    Cons

Little to no benefits, not even paying for equipment you use to get your job done. No bonuses and little job growth. No place to move up. FTE's are more like long term contract employees on the staffing side.

    Advice to Management

Incentives really help with work culture. Salary should be more accurate based on performance and local averages.
