I have been working at Synchronoss full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very flexible work from home policy. Great team members and highly skilled and knowledgeable people to work with.

    Cons

Legacy company employees don't fare well on salary as they tend to be significantly below market pay scale. Company tends to run teams very lean.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time in the trenches to understand the business that you are responsible for supporting.

I worked at Synchronoss full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Allows decent work life balance
    Industry par salary and benefits

    Cons

Company going through some very turbulent times. Laid off a lot of employees. Would advise against joining the company unless there is more clarity on the future of the company. The company is having to restate earnings for the past few years because of revenue recognition.

    Advice to Management

You have lost touch with rank and file. Come clean on what happened with the Intralinks purchase. How is it that within 3 months on the purchase the company was in doldrums. Did you not know that taking on a 900 million debt would weigh the company down ? Did the Board do its fiduciary duty ? You should be lucky if some of you are not punished by the SEC.

    Advice to Management

Training your leadership in people skills and organizational structure operation.

    Pros

No experience needed. A plus but not needed. Was local for me. Decent entry level pay. Nice work space. Nice cafeteria.

    Cons

Very strict time management. Treated like a child. Can't call out when actually sick. Hospitalized? They couldn't care any less.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Synchronoss full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The number of highly skilled and intelligent people was refreshing to see.

    Cons

The lack of true direction from management and the chaotic nature of their application development teams made it impossible to actually manage operations and infrastructure correctly.

    Advice to Management

Hire some process engineers -- for the duration of my tenure, enterprise-wide software purchases set absurd constraints on process definition. Hire some build & release engineers to move yourselves out of the 1990s operationally. Set goals beyond simply "making the numbers".
