I worked at Synergy HomeCare part-time

    Pros

Friendly company, they take the care of their clients very seriously

    Cons

Pay is too low for the type of work. There is a lot that goes into caring for the elderly and disabled. Minimum wage is nowhere near enough money for the wear and tear it puts on the body and the spirit

    Advice to Management

Pay more than minimum wage. Your employees deserve to be appreciated and paid a fair wage.

I worked at Synergy HomeCare part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The clients are sweet which made the job very easy

    Cons

The company is growing so fast that I felt like a forgotten face sometimes.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your caregivers. It's tough because you rarely see your employees because of nature of the job (no management on site) but this could really make or break the job for some people.

I have been working at Synergy HomeCare part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I periodically get to help make an elderly have a better day. Make them happy and Feel cared for. I enjoy making life easier for them and hearing their stories some of them like to talk about the past . one client tells me use your fancy phone look this up now look up this hes so funny he them tells me all about what i looked up. They want to contribute to our knowledge by sharing theirs

    Cons

Most interactions are done thorough text , text when you arrive and leave, text to tell about a client , would be better to speak on phone and and verify client schedule through email. Most companies provide in person training to satisfy state. Requirements not here i was told o.k. the beginning i would get email with a link for some training have not got that. Once i was called and told about 2 clients while i was out driving. At the end she said she would send more info later in a text. I did get text about one of them so i thought she must have filled the other, next week calls expecting I'm on my way to meet her at the client i never head verification for no name no address and because things aren't organized guess she forgot she never me info. Time sheets although pay is every other week you have to drop off every monday which i learned after the 2nd week about not before hand. And don't ask for copy or link. To view your pay stub 3 times asking at 2 week intervals. First time i asked how can i view them ? She said i can email it to you! I state please do. 2 weeks later no sign of it i text here's muy email so you can send pay stub not sure if you have it!( its on my paperwork so i knew she did) she responds "I'm out of town on some training i will send Monday " i said ok enjoy your training. Another 2 weeks go by and nothing . so i asked a 3rd time can you email the pay stubs? She responds your user name is ..... Password is..... 4minutes later. So i asked where do i go to sign in ? She said i emailed a link to you. I apologize for assuming you checked your email! Isn't that rude? I than said ok i didn't know You emailed within that 4 minutes that i asked and you text user and password i want watching my email. Than she goes on to accuse me off making a big deal out of it and that i was being mean to her. Nothing i said was mean . she says no-one of her other employees ask for it. Im telling you reading this ask for it how do you know if any mistakes were made other wise. And im sorry but if others don't ask that is their right not to. But i don't see why she had a problem . i only have 1 client for 3 hrs im only here because this elderly client shouldn't have to have 2 many different people. It is the most unorganized company i have worked for . this part doesn't. Matter too much to me. But i was told you will never be asked to go to a client with out being introduced by one of the office personal first. A couple weeks ago the payroll person who can't be asked to email pay stubs wanted me to go half hour away on the slur of the moment to someone i never met. I don't mind introducing myself if client. And family are ok with that but if you say that never happens it shouldn't. However head is pricey upkeep of cards are pricey but i only get offered clients over 20 minutes away for 2 or 3 hours. Had a couple who i went to 3 days very tough ones however finally 3rd day i had a good break through and they give to some one else. Maybe they don't want to know details of tougher cases

    Advice to Management

Use the phone to speak to employees about new clients. Send an email to verify information. Give all the information. Such as whatever training site you use , time sheets , list off phone numbers right at the beginning before anyone takes the first client. Ask on paperwork shoo you want your pay stubs emailed to you so than people who shoo don't have to ask over 6 week period. And don't block employees numbers for any reason . your employees have the right to ask a question but you don't have the right to be rude to them. Texting is not the best form or way of communication . if payroll is every 2 weeks have a fax number. To fax time sheets in or allow them to be mailed in instead of employees having to drop off.

I have seen little con's but they are not easy to call off with so an employee must be responsible.
