I have been working at Syngenta full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hands down, the best reason to work at Syngenta is the people. The 2nd best reason is the sector and the ambition of the company to address the growing issue of feeding the planet.

    Cons

Lots to do - sometimes not the most amount of prioritization coming from upper mgmt. Always adding new things but not taking away the old things.

    Advice to Management

You have to go out and see where the rubber meets the road, a little more often. Do not stay in your offices.

    Cons

Corporate structure leads to thoroughly thought our decisions and direction- This at the same time, not very nimble to react to changing market demands/ conditions

    Advice to Management

None- Job well done. Keep investing in your employees and they will continue to reward you with their performance. The frameworks system works, but tends to slow down some of the decision making processes along the way.

I have been working at Syngenta full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Syngneta is a wonderful company. It has a flexible work schedule and great benefits. The people are all very nice, smart and willing to help you. Plenty of room for advancement in both management and technical.

    Cons

The pay is not as high as it could be, but the salaries are fair. Being a large company, it is sometimes hard to find information and the intranet is difficult to search.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes it seems like management thinks only about share value and not long-term sustainability.
