    Pros

Synovate was a great place to work, great benefits, fun people, casual atmosphere.

    Cons

None that I can think of.

  2. "Intern"

    Pros

Learned a lot. The people were kind, helpful, and honest. It was a good experience as a whole. The people knew that the work was mind numbing and as a result found some creative ways to make it more interesting.

    Cons

Most of the work was mind numbing. And there was not a whole lot of other interns my age.

    Advice to Management

I'm not sure what to say here. I was not at the company long enough to really know. There could be better training opportunities and they could invest more in their junior employees.

    Pros

Depends on your team. Some are good, some not so much.

    Cons

You have to be in the inner circle to advance.

    Advice to Management

    Develop the talent you have.

    I worked at Synovate part-time

    Pros

Pay was ok, had good working relationships. I had a couple of managers that really listened to what I had to say.

    Cons

Hours weren't great until you got off the phones and got into QA. Some managers had terrible attitudes and were jealous of their own position so they wouldn't help out until they were forced to.

    Advice to Management

More incentives, better hours for hard workers, rotate projects to avoid brain drain. Higher pay for long-term workers and clearer instruction on how to advance.

    Pros

Generally good co-workers, work hard, some good products worth selling

    Cons

No defined sales parameters, people always trying to steal other accounts from within the same company, generally inherit the employees from companies they buy and they are rarely skilled, trained, or supported

    Advice to Management

Get bought, which is what they did...

    Pros

They were a good organization. People were friendly and helpful. They dressed causal on Fridays and people were helping each other with work load.

    Cons

They did not train me. I was left alone lost all the time and it was stressful. Luckily coworkers were there to help me out and train me.

I worked at Synovate full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There were talented, good people to work with. Everyone worked hard to meet deadlines and get jobs done despite significant challenges. There were many offices worldwide so one had the possibility of transferring to other locations. Broad client base so good chance to work on projects from different industries.

    Cons

Down side was frequent re-orgs and layoffs. Decisions to close offices or not lacked regular communication and were dragged out indefinitely creating an environment of uncertainty that harmed productivity.

    Advice to Management

Communicate regularly through your directs to the people actually doing the work. Don't continuously change things, instead focus on having thing done better rather than just differently.

    Pros

Some of the people and departments were amazing.

    Cons

You can dedicate your life to them but when the merger came I was kicked to the curb like I never even mattered.
