    I have been working at Syntel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Some of the verticals are good like Insurance, BNFS and Retail. Good for freshers. Good Onsite opportunities. But nowadays so many H1 holders are in India due to less projects.

    Cons

    Very bad management. Not at all employee friendly. Good leaders have left the company. Poor HR policies and HR staff doesnt know how to talk.

    Advice to Management

    They should retain good talent and right resources. People are leaving because your pay scale is very less compare to other companies at onsite as well as at offshore.

    I have been working at Syntel (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They will help you move but will tax your relocation when they pay you back. They will try to place on another project when your done with your original project.

    Cons

    The company overall is disorganized and not very trustworthy or loyal to their employees.

    Advice to Management

    Be more honest to your employees and don't oversell your employees to your vendors.

    not good in US, has to improve in all areas

    Pros

    My direct boss was great to work for but he left due to senior management's people philosophies, I am still in touch with him he basically said I can not let you execute the sales strategy, you will fail we have to think differently

    Cons

    Can not trust senior management, cut throat culture, not organized, their channel partner model was take as many leads but do not give back

    Difficult to find information, new hire orientation is minimal, consultants are not treated as people ,more as a commodity. the sales people actually compete against each other.

    Takes adavantage of the Indian consultants and delays the process of getting their green cards

    Value your people, they are your greatest assets
