I have been working at Syntel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent starting pay for a graduate. They also don't hesitate to train you. They will take a novice at something and give him training in it so that they can be used at their assignment.

    Cons

You get a lot of training but you have to wait your turn for actual project experience. You also may have to wait for your chance to get training.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps they could check in with employees on the bench through email so that the employees feel like they are valuable instead of part of a gargantuan 25000 employee company.

I worked at Syntel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Syntel was a small player who aspired to be big and had employees who thought on the same lines . The company had a young workforce which helped

    Cons

The company was not nimble even though it was small. The management was comfortable in the present and did not want to change their age-old attitude. Winning business was not the top most priority. Farming the current account was considered good enough

    Advice to Management

It just takes one leader to make his or her business unit ears apart the age-old rules and walk into the new dawn. A company with lot of potential

    Pros

Three week training. Relocation Reimbursement. Good work life balance. Good professional development. Decent pay but below national average for my role.

    Cons

Decent pay but below national average for my role. Was hired to do predictive analytics ended up doing web analytics. Not that big of deal ultimately.
