I have been working at Syntel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Better opportunities for each employee and good learning scopes for a fresher as well as lateral. Growth is good at Syntel.

    Cons

Working hours and expectation are too high from the employees.
All employees are stretching to fulfill the requirement and delivery on time.

    Advice to Management

Resourcing should be managed proactively. Additional buffers should be added to all the verticals and projects.

I worked at Syntel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1) Leave policy.
    2) Onsite opportunities.
    3) You can learn a lot in first 2-3 years.

    Cons

    1) Internal politics like any other work place.
    2) Manager driven process. No communication between HR and employee.
    3) Preference given to local people in appraisal.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from employees frequently. HR and employee relationships should be healthy rather than hr threatening employee.

Layoff should be done in a professional manner. Ground level analysis should be done before laying off an employee. Leads and managers should not be decision makers to remove an employee from team. They may use it for their personal/local/region advantage.

    I worked at Syntel full-time

    Pros

    People are friendly band supportive

    Cons

Employee supporting facilities are worst. Right from transport, cafeteria, bus conditions, washrooms.Way behind the industry trends and technologies. Hike is bad. Mid level management are not smart and techy enough. Like a college. No professional dressing sense. I made a bad decision. Hope I save the one who ready it

    Advice to Management

Please gear up and dive into technology trends. Renovate your campus buildings or at the least the cafeteria and washrooms.
