    Syntel is a company with tremendous potential
    - Good infrastructure
    - Global development centers

    Cons

    - Inability to identify and retain employees and groom them
    - Compensation not on par with the industry

    Syntel is a company with tremendous potential provided the leadership is able to recognize talent and retain them with employee friendly processes.

    First role as IT PM and working with both onshore and offshore resources I gained valuable skills.

    Client facing meant leaving home.

    Virtual employment, even with visits to client sites, should be considered

    good clients to get onsite opportunities soon

    As I move mover states .company could not accomodate to a new project and I have to resign. They do not care to retain employee, healthcare policy

    - Good for freshers.
    - Can climb the ladder quickly.
    - Good Onsite opportunities

    Cons

    - Not much growth opportunities
    - Will not initiate GC
    - Have bond for deputed resources

    Pros

    Opportunity to work directly with the client.
    Supportive immediate seniors.
    Getting new project is easy when the current finishes.
    Not many pros.

    Cons

    Appraisals not in line with market.This has led many employees to leave the organization.
    Less opportunity to learn new technologies and for growth.
    High medical insurance costs.
    Useless effort tracking system equip.

    Advice to Management

    Please focus on proper rating /appraisal system
    Cost of medical insurance is high
