Pros
Undoubtedly the benefits are very good, it is a stable company, where the 401K, the insurance policy if you are single or married, with or without children is quite acceptable. It also has perks such as discounts with partners or their clients when you go on vacation. And they also have the possibility of investing in the stock market with their own shares, buying them from themselves at a discount price. Finally the breakroom is so comfortable, and they have free fountain drinks, TV, good vending shelves, etc.
Cons
If you are not a professional or have studies, it is okay, since you can achieve a good salary, but with the following aspects to take into account: It is making orders without stopping (with some breaks but hyper fast and still in the system running time ).Like any other job, especially if it is night, you must eat well and sleep well, because the amount of weight is enormous, 8 hours straight, between 200 -400 boxes per night of all sizes of course, and with an average between 200-600 lbs per night load. If you do it a little slow it doesn't work for them, and if you make mistakes it doesn't either (which is fine), but speeding up with equipment certified as pallet jacks, combined with non-stop heavy loading, is something that takes its toll on the back and waist quickly, especially if you are no longer in your 20s or 30s, and if you are, be prepared, because it is different from any other warehouse. Now if you have studies, don't even think about this, because here there are no possibilities of promotion, and you will be the same group leader (not vacancy) or supervisor (only one), in many years later, once your back or knees are gone. I give you for more, and if you can stand the night shifts.

Pros
Benefits, hours, pay starts off decent
Cons
I am a current employee of Sysco and have been for a few months. The company does not care for its employees. At the Canton, MI location no one has been hired in since January because no one can meet the ridiculous expectations of hitting 100%. I witnessed someone fall and the team lead said we need to be more efficient. The Team Lead has no experience in order selecting or working the equipment.

Pros
The pay is off the charts if you're young, healthy, and athletic enough to go 100% 60-70 hours a week. If you just want something high paying for a year or two, you don't need to see anyone at home, and you're already in shape, this is a great check and a decent workout.
Cons
If you exist outside of work or you have a family you care to see, this job isn't for you. That 100% in the Pros section is NOT an exaggeration. If you take breaks, you are not going 100%. Legally they have to offer breaks and so they do. But taking breaks means you're sacrificing your pay. The biggest issue besides these is how prone each worker is to injury due to everyone flying around at top speeds on heavy equipment with full payloads to meet their quotas. The goal is absolute perfection at the fastest possible speed and that's fine, but it guarantees that the position will be further supplemented by machines until the workers are replaced entirely. If you're looking for a career, go elsewhere or prepare to be laid off in a decade when corporate realizes how much they could save by investing in a warehouse layout fit for order selection machines. Yeah the union may help you, but it won't stop the company from upgrading for the sake of efficiency and letting the dominos tumble.
