Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

      Pros

      The people of Sysomos are good people.

      Cons

      Squandered the opportunity to lead in it's field. By focusing on sales (with previous CEO and cohorts) they failed to build a lasting new technology platform. Threw money at a problem hoping that it would stick. They lack real technology leadership. Employees lack pride in the product.

        Pros

        Since I first started at this company one of the best parts of the company is its willingness to invest it's time and money in peoples professional careers, which I've personally been enabled to grow and prosper both professional and personally. The recent focus and direction of our company led by our new CEO has been amazing and gives me great excitement about Sysomos' future as a leader in the marketplace. Finally the changes to our corporate culture has been amazing as well giving us the feeling of a fun, cool, tech startup again!

        Cons

        Since our company has recently grown, expanded and acquired new companies there has been some slowdowns to corporate integration which has been addressed

      Marketing Operations Coordinator

      I made changes to my resume and would like some feedback and/or constructive criticism. Please don’t be mean… the job search is hard enough already (ex- “this resume sucks” is not helpful 😂). I applied to 40 jobs today using this version (adding/removing key words, technology platforms, and phrases to match job descriptions, but overall the same resume) 😬 Really hoping to see an uptick in interview requests soon. 🤞🏻

      I am having the most important interview of my life in a few hours. High-end position. But I am stressed because my situation doesn't allow me to lose this chance. Does anyone have tips about what to say when they ask you how you process in sales to seal deals? I personally love the spin method but it is so instinctive for me that I struggle to describe it in a correct way for an interview and I lose my words...
