    SEI provides a value proposition to its clients by only recruiting top talent. SEI distinguishes itself from other consulting firms by treating its clients like partners, always doing what's best for the client even it's not ideal for SEI.     Cons

    Client opportunities are more limited compared with other consulting firms, often due to SEI's higher bill rates. However, part of SEI's value proposition is proving that you get what you pay for.

    SEI is the great company that it is because of its disciplined approach to hiring. This is paramount for the company's continued success.

    Pros

    Strong compensation and ownership model; No travel; Slow controlled growth approach; Sticks to the core values; Honesty and family are key focuses; Great management approach set up to ensure longevity

    Cons

    Drawback to compenstation mode is the risk of no income if not staffed (once you move to variable pay) although this drawback is seen as a key driver for employees to work to get self staffed but management understands this risk and does a lot to mitigate it. CEO is a key driving force of the company - if he goes, there are questions how that might impact the company's direction.

    Pros

    - People- Everyone is extremely competent and a great cultural fit due to intensive and thorough hiring process. - Company- Fantastic work/life balance (minimal travel), compensation, development opportunities, and collaborative culture - Value to clients- Become partners with clients to find best fit, sustainable solutions and do not come in with a one-size fits all proprietary approach.

    Cons

    Definitely not a company for everyone as the lack of hierarchy is hard for some to adopt. Due to very limited bench time and some solo engagements I don't get to spend enough time with the rest of the SEI family, but we get together as often as possible!

    Advice to Management

    Continue to promote the same caliber of consultants as SEI continues to grow. Ensure each office has plenty of opportunities for consultants to engage with others in the office and between the other offices.
